A New Approach to Personalized Hip Replacement

Cordera^™ HipRx^™, previously called “The Conformis Hip System”, is the only primary total hip implant system on the market designed with 3D imaging technology to provide a femoral hip stem and acetabular cup size that matches each patient’s specific anatomy. The implant system includes a femoral stem with patient-specific neck, acetabular cup, iPoly XE^® (highly crosslinked vitamin-e infused UHMWPE) polyethylene liner, and a choice of ceramic or cobalt chrome femoral head.

Conformis’ proprietary, iFit Image-to-Implant^® 3D technology is also used to create a pre-surgical plan (iView^®), which accompanies a set of disposable patient-specific 3D printed instruments (iJigs^®), to aid in implant positioning. All personalized implants, and instruments are supplied to Surgery-in-a-Box^™ ahead of surgery accompanied by only two trays of reusable instruments. ​
